First Entry - Hello readers!

I am very excited to start this blog!  I actually created my account a long time ago, and somehow never wrote a single entry until now.  Well, I've found that posting notes and statuses on Facebook is just not enough.  I have an old fashioned handwritten journal that I do write in for more personal stuff, but I would like a place to express other thoughts and ideas more publicly.  And now that I've started my own business,  Just Peachy! Portraits, it's even more important for me to get myself and my work known.  Blogging has become such a popular medium online, and I think it's a healthy one because it means we're reading :).

I hope whoever reads my blog will enjoy it, relate to it, learn from it, be inspired by it, respond to it, follow it, and whatever else.  I plan on writing about all sorts of things: religion/spirituality (don't let that turn you off just yet!), nature, my cats, the color purple, salsa (dancing), art, music, stress, my goals, my frustrations, my elations, poetry, confusion, dreams, people I meet, people I know, people I envy, people I observe, interactions that touch my <3, suffering I see, suffering I know, travel, growing up, the medical field, hiking, men, beauty, age, being single, being young, being female, being American, being Cuban, SPANISH, learning languages, being selfless, being selfish, giving to others, being vegetarian, CHOCOLATE, vintage things, taking steps, being present, yoga, being a soul and having a body, and... being a Princess!

I may, from time to time, switch between English, Spanish, and Spanglish, so get used to it.  You may learn something from it.  You may teach me something from it.  I also want to learn French, so feel free to throw some of that around here when commenting.  I hate learning sometimes, but I love what there is to learn in this world.  I think it's important that we all share as much knowledge or wisdom as we can with one another.

So as you can see, I have already strayed and failed to remain on one topic.  I hope to improve on that.  But this is just the pilot episode of what I hope will be a very entertaining and fruitful series of entries.  Live out loud and remember to keep it PEACHY, everyone!

Love,

Alissa
